In Israel

Well, we made it. On the flight were several bloggers on their way to the NBN blogfest (which I was not invited to), and so I got to introduce myself to Gil.

For the past week and a half, we've been settling in slowly. By now, we even have WIFI at home. Yesterday I visited the National Library for the first time in almost two years. One thing I wanted to see (besides all the people and the manuscripts) was the catalogue of Hebrew manuscripts in the Vatican libraries. Turns out that the library only has a couple of copies, and Robert Bonfil walked in carrying one of them while I was looking for it. It's a modest looking volume, in paperback, but Benjamin Richler assures me that it's a durable binding.

Not much else to report at this point. Shabbat shalom.

Hi!

I saw that you've mentioned in the past the Mishne Torah in 1 volume.

Now there's a new edition, with vowel points (Menukad), and even more accurate.

Will you write about it?
